This policy explains your rights when returning products purchased from DirectCutting.com. Different rules apply to consumer and business customers.
CONSUMER CUSTOMERS (Buying for Personal Use)
Your Statutory Rights:
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have 14 days from receiving your order to change your mind and return standard stock products.
IMPORTANT: The following products are EXCLUDED from the 14-day cooling-off period:
Custom cut-to-order products (including any item cut to your specified dimensions)
Trapeze brackets (assembled and cut to your specifications)
Any bespoke or customised orders
These items cannot be returned once ordered as they are made specifically to your requirements and cannot be resold.
How to Return Standard Stock Items:

State your order number and which items you wish to return
Return goods unused, in original packaging, within 14 days of notifying us
You are responsible for return postage costs
We will refund you within 14 days of receiving the returned goods
Refund Method:
Refunds will be issued to your original payment method.
Inspection:
We reserve the right to inspect returned goods before issuing a refund. Items must be unused and in their original condition and packaging.
Faulty or Misdescribed Products:
If any product is faulty or not as described, we will arrange collection at no cost to you and provide a full refund, replacement, or repair as required under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
To report a faulty item, contact us immediately with photos and a description of the issue.
BUSINESS CUSTOMERS
The 14-day cooling-off period does not apply to business purchases. However, we stand behind the quality of our products and will address any quality issues promptly. Please contact us at
[email protected] if you receive faulty or misdescribed goods.
CLEARANCE & SALE ITEMS
For Consumer Customers: You retain your full 14-day right to return sale items (excluding bespoke/custom items).
For Business Customers: Sale and clearance items are final sale and cannot be returned unless faulty.
YOUR STATUTORY RIGHTS
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law, including rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
